Next Release?

Not to sound pushy, but I was just wondering if you could give us some details on what is planned for the next release. Has a timeframe been set yet?

Eagerly awaiting a response.

First of all, I've been nailed by a nasty flu - this has made it slightly difficult for me to keep up with anything. I'm starting to feel better now and I have been working on a few things.

This is a list of features I'm currently working on:

- Display time as hours and minutes (or fractions, configurable)
- Delete all items in any given report (easy way to manage all the data)
- Email any report (detailed or summary) as a CSV (not attachments for the next release, just want to get the functionality there first - my server host has some restrictions which will make this challenging).
- Mark Items as invoiced with a flag on the reports for all or not invoiced (suggestions welcome).

Things I'm designing which will have a bigger impact on the product:
- adding new fields to the Database (working on a rock solid migration strategy to avoid data loss etc)
- Dollar values (fixed and hourly rates etc)
- Reference fields to tie data back to your master timekeeping system
- Nested customer - > Project - > Task relationships (many people have asked for this one). Copy another customer, project or task etc. Also have a "global" section so that some entries will always be available.

As for the time lines...

Usually it would be when I'm happy with the stability of the software. I'm hoping to have the first section done in the next week but it really depends on how busy the rest of my life decides to be. If you can figure out your device ID I'll send you a beta version once I've got the features built, that way you can help with the testing :)

Thanks for the update. Sorry to hear about your flu episode. I have been battling a sinus infection for three weeks, so I can emphasize with you.

I would love to help beta test stuff. I will email you offline with my Device ID.

Those who sent me their device ID's now have a copy of the Beta in their hands, once the bugs are fixed it will be released to the app store. If you're keen on beta testing drop me an email with your device ID. I've implemented CSV export in some fashion (I don't like it but it works - we can always make it better in a future version). Mark as Invoiced. more filters on the reports, multiple timers or single timer toggle, and bulk deletion of tasks (too keep your Database slim =)

Once beta testing is complete it will take about another week for Apple to approve the app. In the mean time I'm happy to adhoc distribute to those whose have been active on the forums.
