The way I use Time Tracker is to time my various different projects, all of which have subtasks. (I'm not currently using the Project field).
[Okay, just an aside here -- I just realized that it's the "Customer" field I don't need. I'm going to move my three projects out of Customer and into Project. Duh.]
Anyway, when I submit my time report every week, the main lookup for each of these projects and subtasks is done by number. So it would be nice to be able to associate a number with each item in a category (Customer, Project, and Task) and then be able to easily see or lookup that number in the reports. That way as I enter time throughout the week I can see real names for everything I enter, but when I go to transfer my time for submission I can quickly see the associated numbers that I need for entry.
Not sure if that's useful for a wide enough audience to implement, but I'd sure like it. :-) |
