Show Badge When Actively Timing

If I have a timer active, it would be great if the icon on the application launcher screen showed a badge similar to what Mail shows when there's new mail. The little red circle with a number in it, although in this case a number probably doesn't make sense. Maybe you can put something like a check-mark in that badge?

I believe there is a checkmark for any task that is being timed.

I mean on the icon when you go back to the application launcher. The place you get to when you press the big Home button at the bottom of the device. Several apps will decorate their icon with a little round, red "badge" in the upper right corner to indicate various useful things, such as number of unread emails, incomplete tasks, etc.
