Hi again, Thanks for all your quick feedback. I am posting here like you requested so others can chime in. I am a multimedia firm owner and have my designers busy all the time. Some of the tasks they perform are not billed out as hourly. They are simply tasks that I have given my clients a flat fee for. things like scans, burning DVD/CDs (archiving their projects), doing line art from product shots, clipping paths etc. All have their own respective dollar amount and keeping track of these items can become cumbersome on paper. I may have a single designer clocking in hours at his hourly rate, but is also doing 42 scans, 14 clipping paths and a couple line arts at a specified price. If I could log these in with each respective fixed price in conjunction with their hours on a task for a given job, that would be ultimate. It would be great to also have a section for said employees. All this would be the same as time tracking except instead of adding a new job, you could input an employees name. from there one could then enter the job(s) he/she is working on, their hourly wage, and then job item (this is the flat fee part) could be added ala carte from a directory or added to a directory of these flat fee services. then when the job is complete, it will show said designer's (employee, paralegal, assistant, etc) hours tracked (with their wage), falt fee items added and tallied/totalled, and an area to check off when that person or job has been paid for.
I know this is a tall order, but for us small business owners (10 people or less) this would be great to have at hand. so much easier to tally their progress in the iphone than on a legal pad or document on the computer right now...portability is what we are all looking for here, otherwise we would just use the job trackers that are available on desktop that already offer flat-fee pricing....heck my accounting software does this, but you need to be at your computer to log everything.
anyhow, that's my wish, I hope others will agree. already a cool app and keep up the great work....iSurvive -- get on that one too! LOL ;) |
